Hiding in plain sight, there’s a TRUTH that you feel, but can’t seem to see.

Everywhere you look, there it is. You sense it, but it’s just not visible to you.

It manifests as you KNOWING what to do, but not DOING it, or not doing it CONSISTENTLY.

This, of course, isn’t with everything in your business (or life), but it happens enough for you to just know that something isn’t right.

And sometimes, you ARE doing what you need to do, but not consistently.

Or it doesn’t produce the outcome you expect…and you feel disheartened.

One way or another, you need to find out what this is and get it sorted…

…because this isn’t what you signed up for, is it?

I mean, where IS that life of freedom created by you having control and making profit that you envisioned when you decided to go it alone?

It’s obvious when you know, but difficult to get to, hence ‘Elusive Obvious’.

This ‘thing’ that you can’t quite put your finger on is, of course….YOU!

More importantly, it’s the way that you drive, or fail to drive, your business.

👉 How you show up.
👉Where in your business you show up.
👉How effective you are and how effective the business is.
👉Having the conviction to execute a clear, aligned strategy.
👉Looking methodically and consistently at ALL of your numbers.
👉Curating & driving relationships with your Suppliers, your Team, your Clients.
…and so on.

Most expert practitioners are brilliant at what they do.

Where they fall down is in the BUSINESS of what they do.

But, thinking that the business is purely mechanics, resources, people…things…is naive at best, and downright dangerous at worst.

YOU are at the centre of all of this, so your personal performance is critical to the business’ performance.
To help you to change this, we’re going to start, as Julie Andrews’ character puts it so perfectly in the Sound of Music, “…at the very beginning” (a very good place to start!)

When we wish to change, Awareness precedes Understanding, so I’m going to help you raise your awareness and throw some ideas at you to get you thinking.

Business is an Intellectual Sport, so your key skill – the thing that will help you significantly here – is your capacity to shake up your thinking, leading to greater understanding and better actions.

Your Business needs 4 core elements, properly applied, to be successful:
➡️ A reliable Business Vehicle (we liken this to a leakproof or seaworthy boat)
➡️ Strategic Thinking & Direction
➡️ Character Development (there’s more to this than ‘Leadership’)
➡️ Business Development

So, wrapped up in the blue circle of The BUSINESS of Your Expertise in the model here, are a lot of moving parts.

But the reason business owners struggle and/or get frustrated with their lack of progress is predominantly down to just one of these elements: Character Development.

You can outsource and think through all of the other elements, but here, you have to go through some growth…and you can’t outsource your own growth.

The reason why this model is so effective is why most Business Coaches, Mindset Coaches, marketing gooroos, courses, books, etc., won’t really help you build a sustainably successful business.
